Fall Season

28 Jul 2019 by Jeff Alkazian

First… I was very proud of all of you. We had some very challenging games and each of you showed great spirit and class… even in the face of some unfortunate situations… such as your coach (me) getting thrown out of a game… by the way, my foot is better now. The tournament director told me afterwards that he had a number of issues with that particular umpire and no penalty would be assessed to me given the circumstances. I mean, to drive ME to react like means it must have been pretty bad… right? I was just mad that the umpires were taking the game away from our girls.

Moving forward, we continue into the fall with tournaments every month starting in September (but trying to see if there is anything in August) so figure every month. We will be playing in the Newbury Park Friday night league and either Encino or TO fall leagues on Sunday so get ready for a lot of softball!

With that being said, I need to know if you are planning on staying with us so we can determine how many teams we’ll have. Please email, text or chat me on TeamApp.

Our incoming Sophomores… Our plan is to put together a Bownet-Preps 14U team for the fall and playing in a few TCS tourneys. We have another team interested in joining our family as well. So we should have enough for a complete team. You will then go back to high school and we’ll see what the spring/summer looks like around April.

We are very blessed to be playing this game with amazing parents and coaches…

I want to thank Victor and Jenna for always being there for the girls and making sure our girls are always ready. I also want to thank Nicole (AKA the energizer bunny rabbit). I had no idea how much we missed you until you showed up… you are very special and we thank you for coming out and helping us.

Thursday’s practice is optional and we will go back to work next Saturday.

Jeff
