I am sure by now many of you have read or heard about the city of Agoura and Westlake closing down all of the ball fields because of “organized” clubs gathering in big groups (no masks, no protocols).

I know which organization/team they are referring to and that is the main reason why we are not scrimmaging with anyone right now. It is unfortunate that they are not abiding by the rules and have jeopardized all organized sports.

The good news is that we are not affected because Rancho Simi Parks will be keeping their Oak Park fields open. That also means that we need to be more diligent at our practices… not only for the health and safety of our players and families but also when the park rangers come by and check on us.

So… for Saturday we will be putting the girls in 8-10 player “pods” for the duration of the practice. One group will be on the dirt and the other group(s) will be on the soccer field working out. It is very important that everyone show up ready to go so we can break them into pods very quickly.

I will also need a few parents to help organize and sanitize throughout the practices.
