For the past 13 years our Bownet and ICE-20 teams have participated in Breast Cancer Childhood Cancer Awareness month. It was a great way to raise money for those in need…
BUT life has now changed…
With what we have all witness and experienced in the past 4 years, we have come to realize that there are more needs beyond our original goals.
Three years ago we started our “Family to Family” program along with our Breast Cancer/Childhood Cancer awareness fundraising and it was a wonderful success. We have helped over 40 families over the past year.
Behind the scenes we have been supporting families in our communities with Hit4Hope funds and now we want to continue to bring all of the support needs to the forefront. Not just to fight cancer… but to support families struggling with mental and physical illness expenses, loss of a job, and any other community needs.
This cannot happen without your support.
We will have our annual Hit-a-Thon in October. We will be wearing Pink at EVERY game in October and each player is asked to fundraise (suggested 15-20 people at $20 each = $300-$400 or more for each player)
Pledge forms are attached along with tax deduction receipts additionally there is a letter outlining what the program is about. Forms are also online in our forms section.
We will have our annual Hit-a-Thon/Post-Halloween practice on November 2… this will culminate the fund raiser and have some fun at practice!
We only do one (maybe 2) fundraiser each year so please join me in supporting this very important cause.
Coach Jeff
